The all-in-one mold is the simplest mold type, which requires that all parts of the object to be molded have a uniform surface. Mold design or objects with a flat surface can also be copied using one-piece or one-piece moulds. Although the integrated mold can be made according to the CAD model, these moulds are generally developed based on the physical master model.
Two-piece mould is an effective method to produce moulds with complicated design. A two-piece mold is a mold in which two independent parts are combined together through a parting line to produce the final product. Each production part reflects the different characteristics of the two parts of the model design or the main model. Making a two-piece mold usually requires the development of two parts of the mold according to the main model or CAD model.
The multi-piece mold is suitable for the mold design with complex geometry, and the development method is different from the integrated or two-piece die. The multi-piece mold takes into account different aspects or characteristics of the model. Therefore, the final mold will be composed of multiple parts to reproduce the different features of the model.
Multi-cavity moulds have multiple cavities with the same shape as the same parts, so multiple parts can be produced in each production cycle, thereby increasing productivity.
