All kinds of manufacturing processes need to use well-designed fixed tools, structures or frames (called moulds) to form malleable raw materials. In terms of structure, the mold can be divided into concave (negative die) or convex (male die), depending on the final design that the manufacturer wants to create.
The mold is an indispensable part of the above manufacturing process, and its main purpose is to copy the given design and make the same copy. The materials used in mold manufacturing include metal, plastic, ceramic, wood, foam and so on. After using the molding tool to complete the design and development, the mold needs to be installed in the molding equipment, and then raw materials such as thermoplastic are poured into the mold or molded around the mold. After the material is solidified, the mold will print its pattern on the material to form a finished product.
